Getting Started Checklist.

Our complete laboratory facilities and staff of rubber chemists are always ready to help you with any technical problem in selecting the correct elastomer for your application.

But we can help you best if you help us. With your inquiry, please send us the following information:
  • A dimensional drawing of the rubber part. 

  • Engineering tolerances for the part. Tolerance specifications that are too rigid may be unnecessary and can increase production costs by as much as 30 percent. Use realistic tolerances. 

  • A list of the substances and solutions to which the part will be exposed. 

  • Operating temperature in which the part will be used. 

  • Additional physical properties required, e.g. abrasion resistance, compression set, etc. 

  • Expected service life of the part. 

  • Approximate quantity required. 

  • A general statement concerning past experience and problems with the part.

As time goes by the cost for manufacturing any given part can vary depending on the cost of the materials and compounds used to make them. 

A Good Rule to keep: 
If you are considering ordering a part that has not been quoted for longer than 2-3 months. Chances are the price for that part has changed. It is often a good idea to Request and Updated Price on those parts to ensure that the price has not changed before ordering.
